Recycling at Recycle Techs
Our main goal since we started Recycle Techs in 2004 is to dispose of E-waste in an environmentally responsible manner.  Recycle Techs is a E-Cycle Washington E-waste drop off location.  Items dropped off will be sent to and properly recycled through the E-cycle WA program.  

   Recycle Techs at 6810 E. Appleway Blvd. in the Spokane Valley offers free recycling for the approved items.  Our North Spokane Recycle Techs location does not accept recycling at this time. Some components can be salvaged and reused for future use like (cables, processor, cooler, RAM) but the rest of the machine will be recycled and palatalized and wont be recoverable.
(Please make sure to backup any data you have before deciding to recycle your machine(s) to an external device as the drive will be destroyed and the data on it will be lost.)

   Recycle Techs is a Washington State approved computer recycling company located in Spokane, Washington. We specializing in used computer sales and recycling. Our goal is to get the full life out of each product, then properly dispose of it when it has outlived its usefulness. Proper disposal is regulated by city, state, and federal EPA regulations. 

   Most of the computers we recycle have outlived their productivity in one environment but are still in demand elsewhere. There are still many homes and facilities in desperate need of such equipment. Our job is to repair and redistribute each computer to get its full use.

   We recycle our equipment to minimize the environmental impact from improper disposal practices. It is no longer legal to dispose of equipment at your local dump or landfill. Computers, monitors, and other electronics have toxic metals that can leach into the soil causing serious problems to our environment. What we do is redistribute working equipment and properly dispose of broken and unfixable equipment. With these practices we feel that we can make a difference by offering an alternative solution to simply dumping your equipment.

   Recycle Techs is a Washington State approved e-waste collector. Items collected will either be recycled and destroyed or refurbished. Destroyed equipment will be dismantled in our facility and go to a Washington State approved precious metal extractor. They will remove all toxic metals from circuit boards and monitors to be reused or disposed of properly. 

   To regulate computer disposal Recycle Techs will not dispose or resell computers outside of the United States. Computers shipped overseas are not subject to the same hazardous waste disposal practices as within the US. Many of the computers overseas end up in landfills or disposed of improperly.

DROPOFF INSTRUCTIONS:
Please come into our store at the corner of Appleway Blvd, and Elizabeth Rd and tell a Recycle Techs employee that you have items for recycle.   We will have you pull your vehicle to the other side of the store to the warehouse and have the items unloaded there.  Please do not bring the items into the store.

PLEASE DO NOT bring in large TV boxes or foam.  Because we are a business we have to pay to recycle or dispose of cardboard.

ITEMS WE DO NOT RECYCLE: 
NO Printers/Scanners/Copiers - Staples can recycle smaller printers.
NO Home and business phones/cell phones/home appliances
No Home Audio/game consoles
